Zhener Low
Litigation Attorney

Zhener is a business-fluent disputes attorney with an MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.

She acts in complex commercial disputes, with a focus on shareholders’, cryptocurrency and securities litigation. Her matters span multiple jurisdictions across the US, before the state and federal courts. 

She has significant experience in disputes with cross-border elements, and in managing cross-jurisdictional strategy, particularly those involving Southeast Asia and/or China. Earlier in her career, Zhener was an attorney at a leading Singapore law firm, Lee & Lee, where her practice focused on high-stakes litigation and arbitration.

She is well-versed in alternative forms of dispute resolution. In addition to her international and domestic arbitration work, she has substantial mediation experience, both as counsel and as mediator. She has sat as mediator in contract, tort, employment and construction disputes.

Zhener is interested in the intersections between tech, business and law. She has written for the Harvard Journal of Law and Technology on the topic of execution of judgments on the blockchain, and passed the CIPP/US (privacy law) examination.  

Representative Matters

• Acted for investors in a securities class action over a stablecoin that had raised more US$1 billion, before the California state courts

• Acted for a cryptocurrency exchange against hackers in injunction and enforcement proceedings before the New York federal courts, as well as in AAA arbitration.

• Acted for former directors and shareholders of a US Nasdaq-listed company in a control dispute involving elements of fraud, before the Delaware Chancery Court and Delaware Supreme Court.

• Acted for a former shareholder of a US Nasdaq-listed company in breach of duties and entrenchment claims before the Delaware Chancery Court.

• Negotiated a $15 million exit for co-founder of multinational cybersecurity technology company while coordinating a multi-jurisdictional dispute strategy across multiple Southeast Asian countries, the US and Hong Kong.

• Acted for a Southeast Asian sovereign investment company against an Australian listed company in a complex $300 million Singapore High Court investment dispute concerning a joint venture in a biotech company.

• Acted for a Canadian technology company against a Chinese state-linked company in international arbitration, over a joint venture dispute governed by Chinese law.

• Acted for a joint venture partner against a Southeast Asian government-linked corporation in an SIAC arbitration over a multi-billion dollar power project.

• Negotiated exclusive national franchise for national franchisee of a famous Spanish yogurt brand.

• Mediated to successful settlement a Singapore High Court litigation involving tort and contractual claims, where one party was a major foreign subsidiary of an NYSE-listed company.
